I had a little red ’94, five-speed Ford Ranger with a bed in the back, and every weekend I’d drive the windy roads along the river to guide trips. The truck only had a cassette player, and I’d pop in an old Grateful Dead tape each time I made the ride. Every time I hear The Dead, it takes me right back to that little truck and that little time in my life. Music is special
