Eon hatched here at the ASLC and lives in the aviary with parents Polaris and Chocolate, sibling Basalt, and the rest of our resident Alaskan seabirds. Common Murres are monogamous and often stay partnered for several years. Pairs typically use the same precise nesting sites for consecutive years as well. Young murres usually return to the same cliff where they hatched when they’re ready to lay an egg of their own. |
