Highway 12 remains closed between the Oregon Inlet and Rodanthe, as well as on Ocracoke.
Parts of Highway 12 are staying closed due to impacts caused by the weekend’s winter storm.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation says the highway will open back up at 3:00 p.m. today.
